General Contracting FAQs
What does a general contractor do?
A general contractor manages your entire construction or remodeling project. We coordinate every trade — plumbing, electrical, framing, drywall, tile — pull all permits, schedule inspections, and ensure everything is built to code. You deal with one person, not five different crews.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Rob The Builder Construction is a licensed and insured general contractor in the state of Florida. We carry full liability insurance and workers compensation coverage for your protection.
Do you build home additions?
Yes. We build room additions, second-story additions, sunrooms, guest suites, and ADUs (accessory dwelling units). From foundation to finish, we handle the full scope including design coordination, permitting, and construction.
How do you handle permits and inspections?
We handle all permitting and inspections as part of our service. You never need to visit the county building department. We pull the permits, schedule required inspections, and ensure your project meets all local building codes.
What areas in Southwest Florida do you serve?
We serve North Port, Venice, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Englewood, Osprey, Nokomis, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities within our service radius.
